Dr Katherine Watson is a highly respected Forensic and Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with a distinguished career spanning clinical practice, academia, and medicolegal work.
Dr Watson has acted in senior clinical appointments across public mental health services, and has current employment in the public sector. She has worked extensively with children, adolescents, and families presenting with complex psychiatric, developmental, and trauma-related conditions. Her practice is informed by a deep understanding of neurodevelopment, attachment, risk assessment, and the impact of adverse experiences across the lifespan.
In addition to clinical work, Dr Watson has a strong academic and teaching background, and is a actively involved in the specialist training of psychiatry registrars and medical students through her role as Senior Lecturer for the University of Queensland.
